Stringers Pontefract Motorways runs coaches and buses from Pontefract to towns across Yorkshire including Leeds, Castleford, Wakefield and Selby. A family business founded in 1946 by Sydney Stringer in Newgate, Pontefract, it remains the longest-running coach operator there and is now managed by the third generation. The fleet covers 15-seat minibuses to 57-seat coaches for private hire including corporate transport, school trips, airport transfers, events and group outings. Day excursions go to coastal destinations and Christmas Markets.
