Battle Area Community Transport (BACT) runs regular bus services in rural East Sussex, centered on Battle, Burwash and Ticehurst. Routes connect villages such as Ashburnham, Battle, Brede, Broad Oak, Etchingham, Mountfield, Robertsbridge, Netherfield, Sedlescombe, Ticehurst and Westfield. Flexible services offer pick-up and set-down points for trips to Ashford, Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Tenterden and Rye. As a registered charity founded in 1999, BACT depends on donations, legacies and volunteers.
